For the very first time, veteran actors Anupam Kher and Nina Gupta are coming together, live on stage for their upcoming play, “Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha”.
Set in Lodhi Garden, New Delhi, “Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha” tells the story of two lovers who drifts apart for no significant reason. As fate would have it, 35 years later they meet again and try to discover the truth behind their separation.
The play uniquely tells the story about relationships, misunderstandings and awkwardness in dealing with the truth and not just focus on the love that was/is between the protagonists. In the process, it shows the audience how a person who at one point in one’s life, may mean the world, yet over time, turns merely into an acquaintance.
The play is directed by yet another veteran actor, director and writer Rakesh Bedi. The show stars Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Rakesh Bedi and it will be premiering at the Esplanade Theatre << CLICK THE LINK FOR FURTHER DETAILS >> in Singapore on 29th May 2015.
