Monday 31st July 2017 – Comedy filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s latest offering, Mubarakan, which released in cinemas on 28thJuly, has received great response from UK audiences. The rom-com centering around a Punjabi migrant family settled in the UK had an impressive opening weekend, bringing in GBP 113,000 from the UK Box Office.
Speaking about the movie’s warm response, lead actor Arjun Kapoor says, “When I heard good things about the film from friends and fans on social media, I felt vindicated as an actor that my decision to do this film was correct.”
Mubarakan presents Arjun Kapoor in a double role alongside his real-life uncle Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty.
The film is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios, distributed by Sony Pictures International Releasing.
