Academy Awards 2019 Recap: List of Winners

And that’s a wrap on the award season for 2018. Hollywood’s big night has officially come to an end on February 24th. Despite all the bumps with hosting mishaps, The Academy was able to get through this year’s Oscars and awarded some lucky winners with their very own little gold men.

The award show was held from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, without a host for the first time in 20 years. It led the event to run a time-constricted schedule without any hurdles, despite lengthy commercials in between. The event was kept at a breakneck speed as the Academy attempted to keep the event under three hours.

It was one of the more unpredictable Academy Awards in recent memory, full of big wins with Greek Book taking the top award of the night, along with historic wins for Black Panther and Spike Lee. The celebrity-studded event was given performances including A Star is Born duo featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
