Is There Really Going To Be a Female 007?

The internet has lost its mind after the rumour mill is turning with the idea that Lashana Lynch could be the first female 007 to replace James Bond.

If the story is true then it won’t be that she will be playing a different gendered James Bond but that she would be taking on the position of 007 away from the agent we know. The source from the Daily Mail (the ones to release the story) promised that it would be a ‘popcorn-dropping moment.’

The source continued, “Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman. Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him.”

Within just minutes, the post had gone viral and Lashana 007 was a trending topic on Twitter. However, until any official statements are released, any Bond rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt. It was only last year that it was ‘revealed’ that Game of Thrones star Richard Madden was to be the new James Bond to replace Daniel Craig but that was never confirmed.

Despite this, however, it has created a lot of controversy and buzz on social media. Some are excited about what this change could bring while some are worried that it’s a step too far and the ‘death of the Bond franchise’.

Bond 25 is due to be released in April, 2020 when all of our questions will be answered.
