Huma Qureshi & Save The Children announce pledge to support the pandemic crisis in Delhi, India

Known for her roles in Bollywood cinema, Indian actress Huma Qureshi has pledged her commitment and support with the charity Save the Children. Delhi’s covid rate has come up to 1.35 million with 12,481 fresh covid cases. This implicates the urgency Delhi is in and the help it needs. Stating that “Delhi is in dire need of help”, Huma Qureshi has decided to take matters into her own hands by partnering with Save the Children and launching ‘A Breath of Life’, a mission created for those battling covid in the city of Delhi. She has garnered the support of her director Zack Synder from her upcoming film “Army of the Dead”.

Sharing a video on her Instagram, the pledge is to set up a temporary hospital facility for patients, which include 100 beds covid facility, oxygen plant, medical professionals and medication. For patients at home, covid home care kits will be provided as well as telephone consultations, with doctors and psychosocial therapists to ensure that patients make a full recovery.

Using her social media platforms, Huma Qureshi has urged her supporters across the globe to donate to the cause as she and her family have contributed, advocating that “every contribution saves a life, and no contribution is too small”.
