After a seven-year hiatus, Gru, the once supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League agent, makes a return with his lovable Minions in Illumination’s latest installment, ‘Despicable Me 4’.

Following the massive success of 2022’s summer blockbuster, ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’, which grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide, the animated franchise embarks on a new adventure. This time, Gru (voiced by Steve Carrell) and Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig), along with their daughters Margo (voiced by Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (voiced by Dana Gaier), and Agnes (voiced by Madison Polan), find themselves adjusting to life with a new addition to the family: Gru Jr. Determined to follow in his father’s mischievous footsteps, Gru Jr. brings a whole new level of chaos to their lives.

Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina and the family is forced to go on the run.

Joining the cast are talented voices including Joey King, Stephen Colbert and Chloe Fineman. Pierre Coffin returns to give his voice to the Minions, while Steve Coogan reprises his role as Silas Ramsbottom.

Directed by Chris Renaud, co-creator of the Minions, and produced by Illumination’s founder and CEO Chris Meledandri alongside Brett Hoffman, ‘Despicable Me 4’ promises an exciting new chapter. Co-directed by Patrick Delage, the screenplay is crafted by Mike White and Ken Daurio.

The first trailer of ‘Despicable Me 4’ was released on Sunday and the film is scheduled to release on 5th July.
