Prime Video has announced the premiere date and key art for its highly anticipated new crime thriller series, “CROSS,” starring Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross. All eight episodes will premiere worldwide on 14th November, available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
Based on characters created by best-selling author James Patterson, “CROSS” is a complex, pulse-pounding thriller brought to life by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television.
The announcement was made by series star Aldis Hodge during the Essence Center Stage event at the 30th Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans. In addition to starring, Hodge also serves as a producer on the series.
“CROSS” has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its Season One debut, as revealed during Prime Video’s inaugural upfront presentation.
Alex Cross, portrayed by Hodge, is a detective and forensic psychologist uniquely skilled at delving into the minds of killers and their victims to identify and capture murderers. The series also stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.
Watkins executive produces “CROSS” via his Blue Monday Productions banner, alongside Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, and Craig Siebels. James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa serve as executive producers for James Patterson Entertainment, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost executive producing for Skydance Television.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios, and Skydance Television, “CROSS” promises to be a standout addition to the crime thriller genre.
