The biopic on India’s legendary lawyer and statesman, C. Sankaran Nair, starring Akshay Kumar, is set to release in theatres on 14th March 2025, announced Dharma Productions. The film also stars R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles.

Set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, this powerful courtroom drama chronicles the life of C. Sankaran Nair, known for his fearless stand against the British Empire. The film, currently untitled, is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is adapted from the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.

Sharing the news on social media, Dharma Productions posted a captivating announcement poster, wrote, “Ek Anokhi Kahaani, Ek Unsuna Sachh.” “Starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan & Ananya Panday – this untitled film is releasing in cinemas on 14th March, 2025. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi,” added the caption.

The poster further teased key elements of the story, highlighting “the shocking cover-up of a massacre that pushed India’s top barrister C. Sankaran Nair to fight an unprecedented battle against the British Empire.” Inspired by real-life events, the film promises to shed light on Nair’s courageous legal battle, a chapter that many are eager to witness on the big screen.
