Kit Harington has revealed that he has yet to watch the final season of Game of Thrones. The global sensation of a series won the Outstanding Drama Series award at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday and in an interview following the win, Kit revealed that he hadn’t watched it yet. The answer came after he was asked about the controversy that followed the final season, with many fans left disappointed with how the show panned out. He said, “I still haven’t seen the show, so that’s how I dealt with that controversy. I haven’t seen the final season. But I know what it took to shoot it. And it was hard and everyone put their love and effort into it. And controversy – I think for us, we knew what we were doing was right, story-wise. And we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. So controversy for us didn’t really affect us.” It wasn’t just a few disgruntled fans, however. A petition was soon raised after the show began for the HBO executives to re-do the final series. Despite this, the show still won the Outstanding Drama Series and Peter Dinklage who portrayed Tyrion Lannister won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance.
