The wait is finally over! The production of the fifth season of the hit Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ has begun, the show makers announced in an official post on X (previously, Twitter). The post is captioned: “THIS IS A CODE RED STRANGER THINGS 5 has officially begun!!”

According to reports, the production for the fifth season of the series was scheduled to start in May, when the WGA strike began, which delayed the production. Initially, the Duffer Brothers, the creators of this show, faced the challenges of filming without writers even after having a complete script, hence the production was postponed. Unfortunately, the delay was further extended due to the actors’ strike.

The main cast of ‘Stranger Things’ that has remained close to its viewers’ hearts includes David Harbour, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton.

Matt and Ross Duffer told Deadline last year that a major goal with the final season is to “stick the landing.”

“Characters are already going to be in action, they’re already going to have a goal and a drive, and I think that’s going to carve out at least a couple hours and make this season feel really different,” Matt Duffer said at the time. “I’m sure the wrap-up will be a lot longer. It’s going to be ‘Return of the King’-ish with, like, eight endings,” he added.
