Actor Terrence Howard is all set to star opposite Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson in the Peacock limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist. This project will see Howard reunite with Craig Brewer, who will direct and executive produce the first two episodes of the series.

They had previously worked together on Brewer’s 2005 feature Hustle & Flow. On the back of his performance in the film, Howard earned an Oscar nomination. Apart from this, they worked on the Fox series Empire, in which Howard starred and Brewer was director-producer.

This project also means Howard returning to Peacock. The actor recently appeared in the streamer’s limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters.

Fight Night tells the infamous story of how an armed robbery during the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but an entire city’s destiny.

Howard will play the series regular role of Richard “Cadillac” Wheeler, a gangster and associate of the Council of 12.

Shaye Ogbonna has created and written ‘Fight Night’ based on the eponymous podcast from iHeartPodcasts, Doghouse Pictures and Will Packer Media.

Ogbonna and Jason Horwitch will be serving as showrunners and will executive produce alongside Hart, Bryan Smiley and Mike Stein.

Howard’s casting in Fright Night comes on the heels of him sighing with Independent Artist Group in November. Other upcoming projects for Howard include John Ridley’s Netflix picture Shirley, starring Regina King as America’s first Black congresswoman, Shirley Chisholm.
