As the countdown to the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards draws closer, the organisers today announced the lineup of esteemed nominees, special guests, presenters and captivating performances.

Scheduled to take place this Sunday, 18th February, the awards ceremony will be hosted by actor David Tennant, and will be screened live on BBC One and iPlayer from 19:00-21:00 (GMT).

Among the highlights of the event, British actress and television star Hannah Waddingham is set to deliver an exclusive music performance, adding a touch of elegance to the proceedings. Additionally, pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor will captivate audiences with her iconic hit ‘Murder on the Dancefloor,’ featured in the nominated film ‘Saltburn’.

The evening will also be marked by the recognition of prominent individuals in the film industry. Samantha Morton, the acclaimed British actor, writer, and director, will be honored with the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship for her outstanding contribution to film, games, and television.

Moreover, June Givanni, a film curator, writer, and programmer known for her work in African and African diaspora cinema, will be presented with the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award, underscoring her invaluable contributions to the art form.

The event will see a plethora of esteemed nominees gracing the occasion, representing the pinnacle of talent in the film industry. Notable names include Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Emma Stone, Christopher Nolan, Rosamund Pike, Ryan Gosling, and many more.

Adding to the star-studded lineup, an array of distinguished presenters will take the stage, including Cate Blanchett, Hugh Grant, Idris Elba, Lily Collins, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, among others.

The ceremony promises to be a captivating showcase of cinematic brilliance, honoring the best in film while providing audiences with an unforgettable night of entertainment.
