Justin Timberlake has been doing one-off shows across the United States to gain steam for his upcoming album “Everything I Thought It Was.” The album will be out on Friday. He performed in his native Memphis and New York City. However, audiences, who managed to get a free ticket to his “One Night Only” show on Wednesday (March 13) at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, were treated to a night that will not forget. The singer reunited with his group NSYNC to perform for the first time since 2013.

The last time that NSYNC performed as a quintet was at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, when Timberlake received the Video Vanguard Award.

While rumors were rife that NSYNC would perform, nothing was confirmed. Until, the DJ at The Wiltern played the opening notes of NSYNC’s “Gone”. The curtain rose and NSYNC emerged, performing some of their biggest hits and debuting their new collaboration “Paradise,” included on Timberlake’s “Everything.”

After joining Timberlake, the four other members—JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick—ran through a few of their biggest singles as a fivesome.

Beside the NSYNC reunion, Timberlake gave a greatest hits performance for an hour-and-a-half, running through “Suit & Tie,” “Rock Your Body,” “My Love,” “Señorita” and “Cry Me a River.”

But even Timberlake knew the NSYNC reunion carried far heavier weight. “I don’t know what to do after that but this,” he said as his bandmates left his side, sliding into his closing song, “Mirrors.”
