The renowned British Singer, Adele has announced a “big break” from music after her upcoming concerts in Europe, saying, “I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” reported The Sky News.

Adele has spent the past two years performing a weekend residency in Las Vegas and will soon be returning to Europe next month for the first time since 2016. She is set to perform a series of ten concerts in Germany this August at Munich’s Messe exhibition centre, which can accommodate up to 80,000 attendees. Over the weekend, she shared images of the set-up on Instagram, captioning them: “It’s all a bit bloody exciting.”

The residency, titled “Weekends With Adele,” began at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in November 2022 and is scheduled to conclude in November this year.

In an interview with German broadcaster ZDF, the 36-year-old artist expressed her need for a lengthy hiatus after her scheduled performances. “My tank is quite empty at the minute,” she said adding “I don’t have any plans for new music at all. I want a big break after all this, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while. You know, I don’t even sing at home at all. How strange is that?”

Last month, Adele made headlines when she confronted a homophobic heckler during one of her Las Vegas performances.

While discussing about her break, Adele opened up about her life before fame. “I miss everything about before I was famous, I think probably being anonymous the most,” she shared. “I like that I get to make music all the time, whenever I want to, and people are receptive to it and like it. That’s pretty unimaginable. But the fame side of it I absolutely hate. The fact that people are even interested in my songs and my voice is pretty wild. I don’t think it ever gets normal. So it’s worth it, the balance.”

Adele’s meteoric rise to fame began in 2008 with her debut album, “19,” followed by her critically acclaimed second album, “21,” in 2011, and “25” in 2015. “21” is the fourth best-selling album of all time in the UK, surpassed only by albums from Queen, ABBA, and The Beatles. Her latest album, “30,” was released in November 2021, marking her return to the music scene after a five-year hiatus following her divorce from husband Simon Konecki.
