Indian actor Taha Shah Badussha, recognised for his role as Tajdar Baloch in Netflix’s acclaimed series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar”, has secured a three-film deal with Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, according to Variety report.
Ramesh Sippy is a legendary figure of Indian entertainment industry, known for directing iconic films like “Sholay” (1975), “Andaz” (1971), “Seeta Aur Geeta” (1972), “Shaan” (1980), “Shakti” (1982), “Saagar” (1985), and the epic television series “Buniyaad” (1987).
Besides his standout performance in “Heeramandi,” Badussha has garnered attention for his role as Prince Murad in ZEE5’s Mughal empire saga “Taj: Divided by Blood” (2023). He is also set to appear in the upcoming film “Paro: The Untold Story of Slavery”.
The first film under Badussha’s new deal will be directed by Rohan Sippy, known for his work on “Bluffmaster,” “Dum Maaro Dum,” “Nautanki Saala,” and as the showrunner of “Aranyak”.
Praising the actor, Rohan Sippy said, “Taha brings a unique energy and presence to the screen. I have watched him in Taj and Heeramandi, and his commitment to his craft and his ability to connect with audiences is commendable.”
Expressing his excitement about the collaboration, Badussha said, “It’s an honor to sign a three-film deal with Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, and it’s an absolute dream to work in a film directed by Rohan Sippy. This opportunity is truly humbling, and I’m looking forward to contributing my best to this film. I’m deeply grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me.”
