Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to do voice over for a Hindi version of the upcoming adventure musical “Mufasa: The Lion King,” alongside his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan.
The 58-year-old actor took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting a video that offered a sneak peek of the upcoming animated film. The caption read, “The king @iamsrk is back as Mufasa, with #AryanKhan and #AbRamKhan by his side.”
Kahn also revealed that the film is scheduled for 20th December release. “‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ in cinemas 20th December,” said actor’s post. The movie will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
While this project marks the debut of AbRam in voice acting, Aryan Khan is no stranger to this realm, having previously collaborated with his father on the 2019 version of “The Lion King,” where Aryan voiced Simba and Shah Rukh voiced Mufasa in the Hindi dub.
The original film, directed by Jon Favreau, was a major hit globally.
This announcement comes on the heels of Shah Rukh Khan’s recent recognition as the first Indian film personality to receive the Pardo alla Carriera award—also known as the Career Leopard award—at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.
Despite a packed year with blockbuster hits like “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Dunki,” the actor did not have any releases in 2023. He is next set to appear in Sujoy Ghosh’s “King,” which has sparked rumors that his daughter Suhana Khan may also star in the film.Bottom of Form
