Katherine Renee Kane is set to exit the CBS drama series FBI during its upcoming seventh season, as per Deadline exclusive report citing confirmed sources. Kane, who plays Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, is expected to make at least one appearance before her character’s departure from the show.

Kane joined the series in its third season, stepping into the role following Ebonee Noel’s exit as Kristen Chazal. The reasons behind Kane’s decision to leave the series remain undisclosed at this time.

In an exclusive announcement earlier today, Deadline revealed that Lisette Olivera will join the cast of FBI as a series regular. Olivera will take on the role of Syd, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is set to transition into the field. Syd will become the new partner to Scola (John Boyd), filling the position left vacant by Tiffany’s departure. Although Syd’s experience has largely been as a desk agent, sources close to production indicate that her multifaceted personality and background will enable her to adapt quickly to the demands of fieldwork.

The series recently concluded its sixth season in May and continues to delve into the complex operations of the New York field office’s criminal division as they work to protect New York City and the nation. The show’s ensemble cast also includes Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, and John Boyd, in addition to Kane.

FBI is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios. The executive producers include Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, Rick Eid, and Peter Jankowski.
