Channel 4 News and Sky News were recognized for their exceptional reporting at the 2024 International Emmy® Awards for News and Current Affairs. Inside Gaza: Israel-Hamas at War, produced by Channel 4 News in the United Kingdom, won the International Emmy® for News. The report, led by anchor Matt Frei from Jerusalem, offered comprehensive coverage with on-the-ground teams, in-depth analysis, and global reactions to the ongoing conflict.
Sky News took home the International Emmy® for Current Affairs for The Last Hospital: 30 Days in Myanmar, a gripping story that saw journalists enter Myanmar undercover. The report exposed the devastating effects of the country’s civil war while highlighting the heroic efforts of medics at a clandestine hospital on the frontline.
