Fox’s gripping crime procedural Accused is ramping up the excitement for Season 2 with a star-studded lineup, according to Deadline exclusive report. Sonequa Martin-Green and Mike Colter are set to lead the season finale, “Megan’s Story,” where Martin-Green will play Megan, a music executive whose marriage to her husband John, portrayed by Colter, faces turmoil due to a seductive third party, played by Kiara Barnes.

Jamie Chung will take on the role of Grace in “Eugene’s Story,” while Sherri Saum joins as Erica in “Justin’s Story.” In “Eugene’s Story,” a kind-hearted jewelry store owner finds himself on trial after his wife’s past catches up with them, while “Justin’s Story” centers on a wrestling coach who faces consequences for pushing his star athlete too far.

These additions bolster an already impressive cast for the season, which includes previously announced actors Felicity Huffman, Taylor Schilling, Patrick J. Adams, William H. Macy, and Nick Cannon. Michael Chiklis is also returning, reprising his role as both an actor and director after starring in Season 1’s premiere episode.

Accused was developed for U.S. audiences by Howard Gordon, who serves as executive producer alongside a talented team, including Alex Gansa and David Shore. The show takes a unique approach to crime storytelling, presenting a new crime in each episode from the defendant’s perspective, using flashbacks to unravel the twists and turns of the case.

Season 2 of Accused premieres on Fox on 8th October.
