Veteran Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar and rising star Chum Darang, known for her role in Badhaai Do are confirmed to participate in Big Boss 18. The show, hosted by Salman Khan, is scheduled to premieres on Sunday, 6th October.
Rohit Shetty, during the finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, introduced Nia Sharma as the first official contestant. However, with additional names being revealed, the buzz around Bigg Boss 18 has only intensified.
Shilpa Shirodkar is an Indian actress, who made her mark with notable films such as Gopi Kishan, Kishen Kanhaiya, Hum, and Khuda Gawah. After stepping away from the limelight for years, she made her comeback on television with the series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan in 2013. Shirodkar is also known as the elder sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar and the sister-in-law of South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu.
Chum Darang, hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, is another interesting addition to the Bigg Boss house. After gaining fame for her role alongside Bhumi Pednekar in Badhaai Do, Darang further showcased her talent in Paatal Lok and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Apart from her acting career, she runs a café in her hometown of Pasighat and has several pageant titles to her name.
Alongside Shirodkar and Darang, the confirmed lineup for Bigg Boss 18 includes Sara Khan and her life coach husband Afreen Khan, as well as television stars Alice Kaushik, Nyrraa Banerji, Shehzada Dhami, Chaahat Pandey, Muskan Bamne, and Avinash Mishra. Karan Veer Mehra, the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, is also set to participate, as is viral sensation Hema Sharma, popularly known as “Viral Bhabhi.”
