The Tribeca Festival has officially announced its 24th edition, scheduled to run from 4-15 June, 2025, in New York City. Following a record-breaking 2024 event, with over 13,000 submissions and nearly 600 events, the festival aims to be even bigger and more inclusive, with a focus on showcasing cutting-edge storytelling across film, TV, games, immersive experiences, and audio storytelling.

Tribeca’s 2024 edition featured star-studded events, including the world premieres of ¡CASA BONITA MI AMOR!, Presumed Innocent, Brats, Sacramento, and In the Arena: Serena Williams. Attendees enjoyed appearances from Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Demi Moore, and the cast of The Sopranos, among others.

Looking ahead, Tribeca is introducing a new opportunity for emerging creators with the launch of the inaugural Creators Forum, a multi-day summit within the festival. This new initiative is designed to provide mentorship and networking opportunities for filmmakers, featuring discussions with industry leaders and roundtable sessions on topics such as distribution and festival strategy.

“For over two decades, Tribeca has supported thousands of emerging and underrepresented artists, many of whom have gone on to become critically acclaimed, award-winning filmmakers. This tradition continues today with the launch of our new Creators Forum,” said Jane Rosenthal, CEO and Co-Founder of Tribeca. “As the industry evolves, Tribeca constantly seeks ways to make it more accessible to artists from all backgrounds, communities, and disciplines.”

The Creators Forum will offer attendees intimate group mentorship and insights from industry success stories, helping emerging filmmakers to grow their projects and careers.

Tribeca is also expanding its short films program, which has launched 23 Academy Award nominees since 2002. For the first time, filmmakers with works in post-production can submit their projects for the “Works-in-Progress” showcase, which will give them a chance to preview their films to an invitation-only industry audience. Projects that have already screened in New York or online are now also eligible for out-of-competition consideration.

“Tribeca has always stood for making film accessible to all,” said Tribeca Festival Director and SVP of Programming, Cara Cusumano. “With the Tribeca Creators Forum and our new submission opportunities for works in progress and short films, we are excited to widen the aperture even further to ensure that Tribeca is as inclusive as possible of creators at every stage of their project and their career.”
