Sky and EE have announced a new partnership that will see Sky Stream available in EE retail stores, through the EE website, and via EE telesales starting from 15th October. The partnership aims to offer EE customers greater access to Sky’s entertainment offerings, while allowing them to bundle Sky TV services with EE home broadband.
This collaboration builds on a relationship that began in 2017 and forms part of EE’s broader strategy to provide customers with a variety of entertainment options. It also aligns with Sky’s ongoing mission to deliver its market-leading TV experience to more homes across the UK.
Sky Stream, which launched in 2022, is a plug-and-play device that streams Sky’s content directly to any TV via WiFi, eliminating the need for a satellite dish. It offers over 100,000 hours of content across more than 150 channels and includes 50 popular entertainment apps like Disney+, Apple TV, BBC iPlayer, and more. Sky Stream packages begin at £28 per month for Sky Entertainment and Netflix.
Marc Allera, CEO of EE, commented on the partnership, said, “As part of our strategy for new EE, we’re continually looking to partner with some of the world’s leading brands to provide our customers with the very best in entertainment. Extending our partnership with Sky allows us to give customers even greater choice, so they can take a TV service that best suits their lifestyle, matched with EE’s great new home broadband offering.”
Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, Sophia Ahmad, added, “Sky Stream offers a transformative viewing experience, making it even easier for customers to access Sky’s market-leading entertainment offer, with no dish required. We’re excited to be partnering with EE to take the benefits of Sky Stream into the front rooms of even more customers, bringing them one of the highest standards in viewing experience combined with the best live sport and award-winning Sky Originals all in one place.”
