After exploring the realms of supernatural thrillers and futuristic sci-fi action, director Vikas Bahl is shifting gears to a fun-filled family drama for his next project. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively revealed that Bahl, known for helming Queen and Super 30, has cast Siddhant Chaturvedi, Wamiqa Gabbi, and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan in lead roles for this upcoming untitled film.

Set in the vibrant locations of Goa, the film’s plot centers around an old house that gets transformed into a public space, sparking a series of comedic and heartwarming events. Produced by Bhushan Kumar under his T-Series banner, this project marks the first collaboration between Kumar and Bahl, who recently directed the hit thriller Shaitan. The film will see Siddhant and Wamiqa as romantic leads, forming a fresh on-screen pair, while Jaya Bachchan is slated to play Wamiqa’s mother, adding richness to the family dynamics in this light-hearted tale.

Though the shooting schedule has not yet been confirmed, the project is expected to go on floors by the end of the year, depending on the availability of the stars.

Siddhant, who gained fame with Gully Boy and was recently seen in Yudhra, is currently filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Tum Hi Ho, and has Dhadak 2 lined up for release in early 2025. Wamiqa Gabbi, celebrated for her roles in Jubilee and Mai, has just completed a cameo in Baby John and will soon continue filming Netflix’s Rakht Brahmand. Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. This is the first time, Bahl collaborating with Jaya Bachchan.
