Atlee’s Bollywood debut production, Baby John, is already generating significant buzz ahead of its much-anticipated Christmas 2024 release. On 29th September, the film’s team showcased a special five-minute preview to exhibitors and distributors at the Big Cine Expo. Following this, the release of a character promo featuring Jackie Shroff as the film’s menacing villain heightened excitement even further.

According to exclusive reports from Peepingmoon.com, Atlee and Varun Dhawan are gearing up to release the teaser for Baby John on Diwali, 1st November 1. The teaser will also be attached to the prints of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated Singham Again, which hits cinemas the same day. The teaser will kick off a full-fledged promotional campaign, with songs releasing soon after and the trailer dropping in early December.

The teaser showcases Varun Dhawan in an action avatar like never before, treating him as a true mass hero. The teaser also boasts an electrifying background score composed by National Award-winner Thaman S, with plenty of romance, music, and intense action sequences to draw in single-screen audiences.

Baby John is a remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil blockbuster Theri, with significant screenplay changes tailored to appeal to North Indian audiences. Varun Dhawan steps into the role originally played by Thalapathy Vijay, while Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi take on the parts previously played by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson, respectively. Salman Khan and Sanya Malhotra also make cameo appearances.

Produced by Priya Atlee (A For Apple Entertainment), Murad Khetani (Cine1 Studios), and Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), Baby John is an action-packed drama centered on a former police officer who must protect his daughter from his past enemies. Directed by Tamil filmmaker A. Kaleeswaran and written by Kalees and Jawan dialogue writer Sumit Arora, the film is set to hit theaters on 25th December, 2024.
