Tom Holland is reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, according to reports. If confirmed, Holland will star alongside Matt Damon in the film. The as-yet-untitled film, which is being both written and directed by Nolan, is set for a theatrical release on 17th July, 2026, via Universal Pictures.

While Universal has remained tight-lipped about Holland’s potential casting, the film is expected to begin shooting in early 2025, according to Variety report. However, with Holland’s commitments to Spider-Man 4 and possibly the next Avengers film, his schedule could pose some challenges. According to The Hollywood Reporter, balancing his role as Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may complicate production timelines.

Beyond his superhero stints, Holland recently appeared in the West End adaptation of Romeo & Juliet alongside Francesca Amewudah-Rivers, showcasing his range beyond action-packed blockbusters.

This project marks a reunion for Nolan and Universal following the colossal success of Oppenheimer, which grossed $975 million globally and secured seven Oscars, including Best Picture.
