Pop icon Lady Gaga is making her way into the eerie world of Netflix’s Wednesday. Sources have confirmed to Deadline that the Grammy-winning superstar will appear in the second season of the hit series, although details about her role remain under wraps.

This move follows a fan-fueled viral moment in 2022, when a sped-up version of Gaga’s 2011 track “Bloody Mary” from her Born This Way album became the soundtrack to a popular scene of Jenna Ortega’s now-iconic dance as Wednesday Addams.

Filming for the highly anticipated second season started in April 2024 in Ireland. By August, Jenna Ortega revealed to Extra that four episodes had already been completed. Gaga recently portrayed Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Her impressive filmography also includes acclaimed roles in House of Gucci (2021) and A Star Is Born (2018), the latter earning her an Oscar for Best Original Song and a nomination for Best Actress.

Netflix’s Tudum event in 2023 teased that more Addams family members would make an appearance this season. Jenna Ortega expressed her wish to see Cousin Itt, while it was later confirmed that Grandmama Addams will be played by Joanna Lumley.

Returning cast members include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams. New additions to the ensemble include Billie Piper as Capri, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, and Joanna Lumley, along with Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.

Representatives for Gaga and Netflix have yet to comment.
