American singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey announced the release of her 10th studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, set to drop on 21 May via Interscope/Polydor Records.
The Grammy-nominated singer shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the album will feature 13 tracks crafted alongside producers Jack Antonoff, Zachary Dawes, Luke Laird, and Drew Erickson. “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, and Drew Erickson amongst others,” she wrote.
Antonoff and Dawes previously collaborated with Del Rey on her critically acclaimed 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which was nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammys. Laird, renowned for his contributions to country music with artists like Eric Church and Kacey Musgraves, and Erickson, who worked on Del Rey’s past two albums, round out the production team.
Fans are speculating that the first single, “Henry,” may reference the teased track “Henry, Come On,” which she previewed in January. The album’s potential country influence has drawn attention, especially after Del Rey’s 2023 cover of John Denver’s classic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
If The Right Person Will Stay leans into a country vibe, it could align with the genre’s current resurgence in the pop world. This week, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” tied the record for most consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, while Morgan Wallen’s “Love Somebody” briefly claimed the top spot earlier this month.
Besides this, Del Rey confirmed a brief summer stadium tour in the UK and Ireland, marking her first major performances in the region since her Coachella headlining slots earlier this year. The tour will kick off on 23 June in Cardiff and include stops in Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.
Del Rey is also slated to perform at the Stagecoach festival in April, marking her only confirmed U.S. show so far.
