Netflix has officially greenlit I Will Find You, marking bestselling author Harlan Coben’s first U.S.-scripted series for the streaming giant. The eight-episode limited series, based on Coben’s novel of the same name, comes as part of the author’s ongoing creative partnership with Netflix.

The story follows an innocent father serving life in prison for the murder of his own son. When he discovers evidence suggesting his child may still be alive, he breaks out of prison to uncover the truth.

Harlan Coben will serve as an executive producer through his company, Final Twist Productions, alongside Robert Hull (God Friended MeQuantum Leap), who will also act as showrunner. The series is executive produced by Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien, and John Weber.

“I’ve been a fan of Harlan’s novels for as long as I can remember, and the chance to bring this story to life with him, Jinny, Peter, and the incredible team at Netflix has been a dream come true,” Hull said in a statement.

Peter Friedlander, Netflix’s Vice President of Scripted Series for the U.S. and Canada, praised Coben’s unique storytelling. “Harlan’s gripping stories are beloved around the world and have consistently captivated fans with their trademark twists and turns, dramatic cliffhangers, and compelling mysteries. There is no one like Harlan, and his first U.S. scripted series with Netflix will be no exception. We know he and Robby will deliver the same thrilling experience that audiences have come to expect and which sets it apart as a must-watch event.”

I Will Find You joins a growing lineup of adaptations from Coben’s novels under his Netflix partnership, which has delivered global hits like Fool Me OnceStay CloseThe StrangerGone for Good, and The Innocent. The author’s projects span four languages and continue to attract international acclaim.

Coben’s upcoming slate also includes Missing You, set for release on New Year’s Day 2025, as well as Caught and Run Away. With I Will Find You, Netflix aims to deliver another signature blend of mystery, suspense, and emotional depth that has become synonymous with Coben’s brand.
