The Weeknd is set to launch his highly anticipated album Hurry Up Tomorrow 24 January 2025, with a grand live debut concert the following night at the Rose Bowl. This one-night-only event will feature a stage that spans the entire stadium floor, promising a night to remember for fans.
Hurry Up Tomorrow marks the final chapter of a trilogy that began with the artist’s previous albums After Hours and Dawn FM, all spaced roughly two years apart. The Weeknd continues to dominate the music scene, holding the record as the first singer with over one billion Spotify streams on 22 individual songs.
The Canadian artist, Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, first teased the album on 4 September, sharing the vinyl cover three days later. Its lead single, “Dancing In Flames,” debuted on 13 September, followed by “Sao Paolo,” a collaboration with Brazilian pop star Anitta, released on 30 October. To mark the album’s announcement, Tesfaye performed another exclusive concert in São Paulo, further heightening anticipation.
The Weeknd is also expanding his creative horizons with a feature film titled Hurry Up Tomorrow, sharing the name of the album. The film, a psychological thriller, stars Tesfaye alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Directed by Trey Edward Shults (Waves), the movie will feature a score crafted in collaboration with Daniel Lopatin.
Fans can expect Hurry Up Tomorrow to carry forward the legacy of his previous works, which included collaborations with artists like Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, and Ariana Grande, who joined for a remixed version of “Save Your Tears.”
Tickets for the 25 January Rose Bowl concert go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. PT on TheWeeknd.com.
