CBS is rolling out a wave of exciting new content, starting with the highly anticipated series Watson, set to premiere on 26 January, 2025, following the AFC Championship Game. The series will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. The regular airings will begin on 16 February.

Watson picks up six months after the death of Sherlock Holmes at the hands of his nemesis, Moriarty. Starring Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson, the show follows the character as he transitions back into his medical career, now leading a clinic focused on treating rare medical disorders.

According to the official logline, “Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though – Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century.” The show blends medical drama with investigative storytelling, as Watson takes on medical mysteries instead of his traditional crime-solving role. The ensemble cast includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann, and Rochelle Aytes.

Nickelodeon’s “Henry Danger The Movie” set to premiere 17 January

Also on the horizon is Henry Danger The Movie, set to air on 17 January at 7 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon. The live-action film, based on the popular series Henry Danger, will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ the same day. The film stars the original cast, including Jace Norman as Henry Danger, Sean Ryan Fox as Jasper, Ella Anderson as Piper Hart, Michael D. Cohen as Schwoz, and Frankie Grande as Frankini. The plot follows Henry as he navigates through a maze of alternate realities, joined by his new superfan sidekick, Missy Martin/Superfan, played by Glee Dango.

Fox’s “The Real Full Monty” to raise awareness for cancer research

Fox has unveiled a first look at The Real Full Monty, a two-hour special airing on 9 December. The show, inspired by the 1997 musical The Full Monty, features a group of male celebrities, including host Anthony Anderson, Taye Diggs, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli, James Van Der Beek, and Super Bowl champion Chris Jones, as they strip down for charity. The special’s goal is to raise awareness for prostate, testicular, and colorectal cancer, encouraging regular screenings. Notably, Van Der Beek recently shared his own diagnosis of colorectal cancer. The celebrities will undergo training and rehearsal under the guidance of choreographer Mandy Moore, while also sharing personal stories about how cancer has affected their lives.

BYUtv’s “Primrose Railway Children” to premiere on 8 December

BYUtv’s upcoming drama Primrose Railway Children is an adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s novel, a modern retelling of Edith Nesbit’s The Railway Children. Set in a rural Scottish village, the story follows Phoebe (Ava Joyce McCarthy) and her siblings as they search for their missing father. The show will be available to stream for free on the BYUtv app and at BYUtv.org starting 8 December. The series was produced in partnership with BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions.

Queen Latifah to host 47th annual Kennedy Center Honors

Queen Latifah will host the 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, airing on 22 December on CBS before streaming on Paramount+. This will be Latifah’s first time hosting the prestigious event, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the performing arts. Latifah, a Grammy-winning musician and Oscar-nominated actress, was herself a 2023 honoree at the Kennedy Center Honors. The ceremony will be produced by Done+Dusted and directed by Alex Rudzinski, with an executive production team that includes David Jammy, Elizabeth Kelly, and Jack Sussman.

Matt Iseman to guest host On Patrol: Live This Weekend

Matt Iseman, known for hosting American Ninja Warrior, will step in as host for On Patrol: Live this Friday and Saturday, November 29 and 30. This marks his second time filling in for regular host Dan Abrams during the holiday weekend. On Patrol: Live airs from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET on Reelz and streams live on Peacock. The show provides live, minute-by-minute coverage of police officers working in various U.S. departments. Iseman has previously hosted Live Rescue on A&E and has appeared in several popular shows like The Kelly Clarkson Show and Lip Sync Battle.
