Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital content arm of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is continuing its strong partnership with Netflix India. The two companies have announced their latest collaboration on a romantic comedy film titled Naadaniyaan, which is expected to premiere on the streaming platform in the first half of 2025.

Naadaniyaan stars Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, in the lead roles. The film also features Suniel Shetty and Dia Mirza in pivotal roles. Described as a fun and breezy teenage romcom, Naadaniyaan promises to bring a lighthearted yet captivating story to audiences.

Shauna Gautam, who has previously worked as an assistant director on films like Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, makes her directorial debut with this project. The screenplay and story for Naadaniyaan were written by Riva Razdan Kapoor, while the dialogues were penned by Ishita Moitra and Jehan Handa.

Currently in post-production, Naadaniyaan was initially slated for a Valentine’s Day weekend release, but the plans have shifted. Khushi Kapoor’s other film, the Hindi remake of Love Today, is scheduled for a theatrical release on 7 February, 2025, which has led to a rescheduling of Naadaniyaan’s premiere.

This marks Ibrahim Ali Khan’s third project. He is also working on Sarzameen with Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran under Dharma Productions, and Diler, a film by Kunal Deshmukh, where South Indian actress Sreeleela plays the leading lady. Khushi Kapoor, on the other hand, is set to make her second appearance with Netflix, after her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies last year. Before Naadaniyaan, she will be seen in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Love Today, starring opposite Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan.
