Prime Video has set the stage for its upcoming comedy series Clean Slate, announcing that all eight episodes will premiere globally on 6 February, 2025. Starring Emmy-nominated actress Laverne Cox and legendary comedian George Wallace, the heartfelt series will be available in over 240 countries and territories, bringing Norman Lear’s signature blend of humor and poignant storytelling to audiences worldwide.

Clean Slate follows the journey of Harry (Wallace), a traditional car wash owner in Alabama, whose world is upended when his estranged child returns after 17 years. The child Harry once knew as his son is now a proud trans woman, Desiree (Cox). Their reunion sets the stage for a heartfelt exploration of unconditional love and second chances, wrapped in a comedic narrative that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Alongside Cox and Wallace, the series features Telma Hopkins, D.K. Uzoukwu, Jay Wilkison, and Norah Murphy. Norman Lear, a trailblazer in television, serves as executive producer alongside Brent Miller, while Cox, Wallace, and Dan Ewen are credited as creators. Ewen co-showruns with Simran Baidwan, bringing a sharp and sensitive approach to the series’ themes.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, Clean Slate is a product of collaboration between Laverne Cox Productions, Norman Lear’s Act III Productions, and Prime Video. The series promises to be a heartfelt addition to Prime Video’s growing slate of original programming.
