Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, offering fans a glimpse into an alternate timeline for the iconic web-slinger. This reimagined story sees Peter Parker mentored by Norman Osborn, who is typically known as the Green Goblin, Spider-Man’s greatest nemesis.
The voice cast brings a fresh energy to the franchise. Hudson Thames takes on the role of Peter Parker, while Colman Domingo voices the enigmatic Osborn. Supporting characters include Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May and Hugh Dancy as the infamous Doctor Octopus. In a crossover treat, Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles from Netflix’s Daredevil series, with Paul F. Tompkins lending his voice to the classic villain The Wizard.
The trailer teases dynamic action and two striking new Spider-Man suits. One design reflects Parker’s youthful, casual style, while the other offers a sleek black-and-white aesthetic, perfect for his nighttime escapades. The clip also showcases Spider-Man’s trademark humor and wit, with Parker flipping a live-streaming villain’s camera on their webbed-up crew and quipping, “Just consider it a good deed from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. That’s me, by the way. I am Spider-Man.”
Spider-Man has remained a cornerstone of Marvel’s success since Tom Holland’s portrayal began in 2016 with Captain America: Civil War. Holland’s Spider-Man has since appeared in five films, with his latest outing, Spider-Man: No Way Home, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
The franchise’s earlier days featured Sam Raimi’s trilogy starring Tobey Maguire from 2002 to 2007, followed by Andrew Garfield’s reboot in 2012. The multiverse reunion of all three actors in No Way Home brought nostalgia and excitement to fans worldwide, cementing Spider-Man’s enduring appeal.
