Akshay Kumar’s is all set add another feather to his list of patriotic films with Sky Force, of which the trailer has been released. Set against the backdrop of the 1965 India-Pakistan Air War, this high-flying action adventure sees Kumar donning the role of a valiant Indian Air Force officer determined to defend his nation.
The trailer, launched at a grand event in Mumbai, shows Kumar’s character delivering a stern warning to Pakistan before leading India’s first air strike. The intensity peaks as Veer Pahariya, making his acting debut, portrays a fellow officer who goes missing during the mission, leaving Akshay’s character convinced that he is still alive but stranded in enemy territory.
Adding another star to the films is Sara Ali Khan, who is portraying the character of Veer’s lover. The film also features Nirmat Kaur and Sharad Kelkar in significant roles.
Akshay Kumar shared the trailer on his X handle with a stirring message: “This Republic Day, witness the untold story of a heroic sacrifice – the tale of India’s first and deadliest airstrike.”
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik, and Jyoti Deshpande, Sky Force is set for a global release on 24 January, 2025, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend.
