Anime fans, the wait is over! Sakamoto Days, the highly anticipated adaptation of Yuto Suzuki’s hit manga, is set to debut on Netflix this Saturday, 11 January.  This action-packed series promises to deliver thrilling episodes every week, as it brings the beloved story of Taro Sakamoto to life.

The series follows the legendary ex-hitman Taro Sakamoto, who left behind his life of assassinations to start anew with his family. However, the peace is short-lived as Sakamoto must confront his past to protect those he loves from looming threats.

Netflix has unveiled a stellar English voice cast, featuring Matthew Mercer as Taro Sakamoto, Dallas Liu as Shin Asakura, and Xolo Maridueña as Heisuke Mashimo. Other notable names include Rosalie Chiang, Rosie Okumura, WWE’s Alexa Bliss, and SungWon Cho.

Dallas Liu, thrilled about his role, shared, “The most exciting thing about being involved with Sakamoto Days is getting to work with Xolo and Aleks. Being a huge fan of the manga before joining the project, portraying Shin is surreal. I’m super excited for people to watch.”

Xolo Maridueña echoed the excitement, calling Sakamoto Days “the next generation of great anime” and expressing his enthusiasm about working with Dallas Liu.

Directed by Masaki Watanabe and produced by TMS Entertainment, known for hits like Lupin the 3rd and Dr. STONE, the series promises stunning visuals, compelling storytelling, and adrenaline-fueled action. The opening theme, “RUN SAKAMOTO RUN” by Vaundy, sets the tone for the high-octane series.

With 11 episodes in the first part of Season 1 and more to come in July 2025, Sakamoto Days is poised to captivate audiences worldwide.
