Prime Video has announced an exciting lineup of new cast members for the highly anticipated third season of The Wheel of Time. Isabella Bucceri, Nukâka Coster-Waldau, Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, Björn Landberg, and Synnøve Macody Lund are set to join the fantasy series, which will premiere globally on 13 March, 2025. The announcement also marks the return of #WOTWednesdays, a fan-favorite tradition offering weekly updates leading up to the season’s debut.
The Wheel of Time, co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its adaptation of Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy book series. As the series gears up for its third season, the addition of these talented actors promises to bring new depth and intrigue to the story.
Isabella Bucceri, known for her roles in Finally Me and Everything in Between, will take on the role of Faile Bashere, a determined Saldaean “Hunter of the Horn” whose quest for a treasured relic brings her to The Two Rivers.
Nukâka Coster-Waldau, recognized for her performances in Thin Ice and Anori, joins the cast as Bair, the eldest and most respected Wise One of the Taardad Aiel. Bair’s wisdom and authority surpass even that of the Clan Chief, and her mystical abilities, including channeling the One Power, add a layer of mystique to her character.
Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, with credits in The Lazarus Project and Justice League, portrays Melaine, another Wise One of the Taardad Aiel. Though she cannot channel the One Power, Melaine possesses other mystical abilities that make her a formidable figure within the Aiel community.
Björn Landberg, familiar from the German series Galileo Mystery and Unter uns, steps into the role of Rhuarc, the respected Clan Chief of the Taardad Aiel. Having endured the trials of Rhuidean, Rhuarc holds secrets of the fog-shrouded mysteries, though he is bound by silence regarding what lies within.
Lastly, Synnøve Macody Lund, known for her roles in Ragnarok and Saw X, will play Melindhra, a survivor from Malkier who was raised by the Taardad Aiel. Her character’s journey promises to add emotional depth and complexity to the unfolding narrative.
With these fresh faces joining the cast, The Wheel of Time continues to build on its rich and immersive world, bringing new characters and stories to life. Fans can look forward to another season of epic adventures, mystical powers, and complex relationships when the show returns this March.
