Paramount+ has released a gripping new trailer for the highly anticipated second season of 1923, the Yellowstone origin story co-created by Taylor Sheridan. The series, starring Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford and Oscar-winner Helen Mirren, is set to return on 23 February, promising a season filled with intense drama and high stakes.
In the new trailer, a voice ominously declares to a boardroom of industry leaders, “Today, we begin making Montana a playground for the elite,” met with enthusiastic applause. This declaration sets the stage for a looming war in the Montana highlands, as the Dutton family is forced to “defend or die” to protect their ranch amidst the state’s changing landscape.
The second season’s logline hints at the harsh challenges ahead. “In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love,” according to Deadline report.
