Emily Alabi is set to join CBS’s hit procedural FBI in a recurring role for its ongoing seventh season, Deadline has learned. Best known for her appearances on S.W.A.T., Joe Pickett, and Magnum P.I., Alabi will step into the shoes of a new agent, paired with Stuart Scola (played by John Boyd). Her arrival comes after the departure of Katherine Renee Kane, who played Scola’s longtime partner Tiffany Wallace and exited the show earlier this season.
While Alabi’s current role is recurring, sources suggest she could transition to a series regular in the upcoming eighth season. This marks another shake-up for the show, following Lisette Olivera’s brief stint as Syd Ortiz, a Behavioral Analysis Unit agent. Olivera’s departure, which came after only a few episodes, was reportedly due to creative decisions and not her performance, with producers believing the character felt too young for the role.
Produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television in collaboration with CBS Studios, FBI continues to captivate viewers with its compelling storytelling and high-stakes cases. The series is helmed by an executive producing team that includes Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, and Peter Jankowski.
Alabi’s background as a professional dancer and choreographer has also added to her diverse portfolio, with credits including Jon Favreau’s Chef, Netflix’s Selena: The Series, and performances at the Oscars. Her representation includes Ro Diamond at SDB Partners and Michelle Zeitlin of More Zap Productions and Management.
