Jio Studios has secured 24 nominations at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2025. As the Silver Jubilee edition of Bollywood’s grandest celebration unfolds in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the studio’s slate of critically and commercially successful films has placed it at the forefront of this year’s awards race.

Among the biggest contenders is Laapataa Ladies, the heartwarming drama produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Jyoti Deshpande, which has bagged eight nominations. The film is in the running for Best Film and Best Director (Kiran Rao), while Sparsh Shrivastava and Nitanshi Goel have earned nods for Best Performance in a Leading Role. Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan are recognized in supporting categories, and the film’s music, composed by Ram Sampath, has secured nominations for Arijit Singh (O Sajni) and Shreya Ghoshal (Dheeme Dheeme).

Horror-comedy sequel Stree 2 has also made waves, earning six major nominations. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, the film is competing for Best Film, while Amar Kaushik has been nominated for Best Director. Shraddha Kapoor’s performance lands her a nomination for Best Leading Role (Female), with Abhishek Banerjee earning a nod for Best Supporting Role (Male). The film’s music, helmed by Sachin-Jigar, is up for Best Music Director, while Madhubanti Baghchi’s haunting track Aaj Ki Raat competes for Best Playback Singer (Female).

The supernatural thriller Shaitaan has also secured a spot in the nominations, with R. Madhavan’s intense performance earning him a nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role, while Janki Bodiwala is recognized in the Best Supporting Role (Female) category. The film is also in contention for Best Film. Meanwhile, the politically charged drama Article 370 has received five nominations, including Best Film and Best Director (Aditya Suhas Jambhale), with Yami Gautam competing for Best Leading Role (Female). Priyamani is up for Best Supporting Role (Female), while Jubin Nautiyal’s song Dua competes in the Best Playback Singer (Male) category.

Adding to the anticipation, Singham Again, the high-octane action film by Rohit Shetty, has landed a nomination with Arjun Kapoor vying for Best Performance in a Negative Role.

With Jaipur serving as the magnificent backdrop for this milestone event, IIFA 2025 promises an unforgettable weekend celebrating Indian cinema. Known for its regal history, grand palaces, and vibrant culture, the Pink City will set the stage for electrifying performances and star-studded festivities. Hosting the much-awaited Nexa IIFA Awards 2025 will be Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, while the stage will witness powerhouse performances by Bollywood legends Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

As Bollywood’s biggest stars descend on Jaipur, IIFA 2025 is set to be a spectacle like never before, blending cinematic excellence with the city’s royal charm.
