MGM+ is setting the stage for a gripping new mystery as it drops the first look trailer and key art for Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, a suspense-packed thriller set to premiere on 2nd March, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST. Created by renowned writer Anthony Horowitz, the series brings together an international cast, including Emmy-winning actor Eric McCormack, Star Trek alum David Ajala, and Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney, for a deadly game of survival.

“TEN passports. NINE bodies. ONE deadly secret.” That’s the ominous tagline setting the tone for this tightly woven mystery. The series opens with a private aircraft crashing deep in the Mexican jungle, carrying nine passengers who miraculously survive. But their relief is short-lived. One by one, they begin to die under suspicious and brutal circumstances, making it clear that someone among them is orchestrating their demise. As paranoia sets in, the group battles the unforgiving elements, dwindling supplies, and each other in a desperate fight to uncover the killer’s identity before it’s too late. Told in a tense, flashback-driven narrative, Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue builds toward an explosive reveal that promises to leave audiences stunned.

Horowitz, the mastermind behind Alex Rider and Magpie Murders, serves as the show’s creator, writer, and executive producer. The series is brought to life by Eleventh Hour Films, the Sony Pictures Television-backed company responsible for numerous acclaimed dramas. Brian O’Malley and Viviane Andereggen share directorial duties, with Richard Burrell on board as producer. Jill Green and Eve Gutierrez executive produce for Eleventh Hour Films, while Sony Pictures Television handles global distribution.

MGM+, the premium network and streaming platform under Amazon’s umbrella, continues to expand its catalog of high-quality programming with this latest addition. Known for hit series like FROM, Godfather of Harlem, and Billy the Kid, MGM+ has carved a niche for gripping dramas and edge-of-your-seat thrillers. Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue joins the network’s upcoming slate, alongside the psychological horror The Institute and the period adventure Rogue Heroes.
