The critically acclaimed Max Original medical drama The Pitt, produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, has been renewed for a second season. Created by R. Scott Gemmill and starring Noah Wyle, the series continues to captivate audiences with its gripping storytelling. The 15-episode first season airs new episodes every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET, leading up to its season finale on April 10.

Since its debut, The Pitt has become the most-watched title on Max globally, maintaining its top spot while earning widespread critical praise. With a 93% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, the show has been lauded as an “engrossing and addictive medical drama” by Entertainment Weekly, while Vanity Fair commended Noah Wyle’s performance as “an endlessly compelling lead.” TV Insider described the series as “riveting,” Chicago Tribune deemed it “essential viewing,” and The Hollywood Reporter praised its real-time format for capturing the intensity and urgency of a bustling trauma center.

The Pitt offers a gritty and authentic portrayal of the challenges faced by healthcare workers in modern-day America, focusing on the frontline heroes of a Pittsburgh hospital. Each episode unfolds in real-time, capturing an hour of Dr. Robby’s (Noah Wyle) demanding 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.

Noah Wyle stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, alongside Tracey Ifeachor as Dr. Collins, Patrick Ball as Dr. Langdon, Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, and Shabana Azeez as Javadi.
