Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer and key art for The Better Sister, a gripping new limited crime drama premiering globally on May 29, 2025. The eight-episode series, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Tomorrow Studios (a division of ITV Studios), will be available in over 240 countries and territories.
Adapted from the bestselling novel by Alafair Burke, The Better Sister follows Chloe (Jessica Biel), a successful media executive living an ideal life with her husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan). Her estranged sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), struggling with addiction and financial instability, is suddenly pulled back into Chloe’s world when Adam is found murdered. As shocking secrets surface, the sisters must confront their fractured past to uncover the truth behind the killing.
The series stars Jessica Biel as Chloe Taylor, Elizabeth Banks as Nicky Macintosh, Corey Stoll as Adam Macintosh, Kim Dickens as Detective Nancy Guidry, and Maxwell Acee Donovan as Ethan Macintosh. Rounding out the cast are Bobby Naderi, Gabriel Sloyer, Gloria Reuben, Matthew Modine, and Lorraine Toussaint.
The Better Sister is executive produced by Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8) and Regina Corrado (Mayor of Kingstown), who also serve as showrunners. Craig Gillespie (Pam & Tommy) directs and executive produces through Fortunate Jack Productions. Additional executive producers include Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Alissa Bachner of Tomorrow Studios, as well as stars Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Purple, Annie Marter, and Kerry Orent.
