FX’s critically acclaimed series The Bear is officially returning for a fifth helping. The network announced the renewal just days after the premiere of Season 4, confirming that the Emmy-winning comedy-drama will be back in 2026.
“The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” said FX Chairman John Landgraf in a statement. “Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
Season 4, which dropped all 10 episodes on 25th June, finds Carmy, Sydney, and Richie battling new obstacles while chasing culinary greatness. As the team pushes forward with higher stakes and sharper knives, the show continues to balance intense drama with dark humor and emotional depth.
The cast also includes Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with recurring appearances by Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon.
The Bear has become one of FX’s crown jewels since its debut, consistently racking up awards and accolades. It recently made history by winning 11 Emmy Awards for its second season—the most ever for a comedy in a single year. It has also earned honors from the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Peabody Awards, Critics Choice, and TCA, among many others.
The latest season currently holds an 85% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with fans and critics alike praising its blend of heart, heat, and high-stakes storytelling.
The show was created by Christopher Storer, who serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer, a real-life chef and sister to the creator, returns as co-executive producer and culinary producer.
The Bear is produced by FX Productions. All four seasons are available for streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.
