Hans Zimmer is set to bring his cinematic touch to HBO’s Euphoria, joining the third season of the Emmy-winning series as a composer. The Oscar-winning music legend will score new episodes alongside Labrinth, the artist behind the show’s unforgettable soundtracks for Seasons 1 and 2.
Zimmer, whose film credits include Inception, Interstellar, Gladiator, and The Lion King, expressed enthusiasm about joining the show’s creative team. “It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson,” Zimmer said in a statement. “Together, they have crafted such a bold and moving series that has meant so much to audiences. Labrinth’s music has shaped the show’s identity and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.”
Labrinth, who will continue to shape the sonic world of Euphoria, welcomed the collaboration. “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x,” he shared.
Series creator Sam Levinson highlighted the deep influence Zimmer’s previous works have had on the show’s tone and evolution. “It’s a true honor to be working alongside Hans. I wrote this season to the score of ‘Interstellar’ and ‘True Romance.’ So he’s been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning,” Levinson said. “I’m really proud of the work Labrinth and I have done in previous seasons and am excited for Hans to push us to new heights.”
Production on the long-anticipated third season began earlier this year. The returning ensemble cast includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo, and Dominic Fike. Several new faces are joining as well, including Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
Season 3 of Euphoria is currently eyeing a 2026 release, promising to continue its emotionally charged, visually daring storytelling with an even more expansive musical landscape.
