IndiGalleria’s much-anticipated exhibition “Rhythmic Sagas”—the first-ever solo showcase in Delhi by internationally acclaimed Sri Lankan artist Raja Segar—opened to great acclaim on October 9, 2025, at LTC, Bikaner House. The exhibition will remain open for public viewing until October 18, 2025.

The vibrant show has drawn art connoisseurs, collectors, students, diplomats, and critics from across the country, earning widespread praise for its depth, dynamism, and celebration of the human spirit.

The inauguration began with an exclusive private viewing attended by distinguished guests, including H.E. Ms. Mahishini Colonne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, and renowned Indian artist Arpana Caur, who jointly graced the opening ceremony.

Curated by Aakshat Sinha, “Rhythmic Sagas” features Segar’s distinctive take on figurative cubism—a blend of bold geometry and spiritual undertones that captures musicians, dancers, tea pluckers, mythic figures, and moments from everyday life. Visitors were especially drawn to how Segar translates rhythm into visual form, where each canvas resonates with music, movement, and emotion.

Throughout the exhibition, the gallery has seen a steady flow of visitors—artists, critics, and cultural enthusiasts alike—who lauded the collection’s seamless fusion of colour, composition, and philosophy. Many described the experience as a bridge between Sri Lankan sensibility and Indian aesthetic resonance.

Reflecting on the overwhelming response, Raja Segar said, “Every visitor brought new meaning to my art. To see my work embraced by audiences here—people pausing, smiling, feeling something beyond words—has been profoundly moving. Delhi has given my colours a second rhythm.”

Curator Aakshat Sinha shared his enthusiasm, saying, “The response surpassed all expectations. Segar’s works seemed to communicate directly with viewers—through joy, stillness, and spiritual warmth. His art doesn’t just hang on the wall; it converses with you.”

Adding to the sentiment, IndiGalleria’s Founder, Shashank Maurya, remarked, “We are delighted by the overwhelming reception to Segar’s Delhi debut. This exhibition reinforces IndiGalleria’s mission to foster cultural dialogue and bring international art closer to Indian audiences through meaningful, physical engagements.”

Following its success, “Rhythmic Sagas” stands as a milestone in IndiGalleria’s ongoing journey to bridge artistic geographies and deepen cultural exchange by showcasing global creativity within India.
