Netflix has unveiled the official trailer, poster and new images for the third and final season of the Portuguese series Turn of the Tide, which is set to premiere on 10 April.

The upcoming season marks the conclusion of the popular show, bringing back its main cast for what is described as a final chapter filled with action, justice and revenge. The series continues to be led by José Condessa, Helena Caldeira, Rodrigo Tomás and André Leitão, who reprise their roles for the concluding storyline.

They are joined once again by Maria João Bastos, Salvador Martinha, Afonso Pimentel, Kelly Bailey and Victoria Guerra, with acclaimed Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida joining the cast this season alongside Ângelo Rodrigues and Inês Castel-Branco.

The narrative of the final season follows Eduardo, played by José Condessa, who returns to Rabo de Peixe after spending three years in prison. His return comes at a time when the island is facing mounting economic and political pressures that threaten local livelihoods, including the fishing industry, and risk displacing families.

At the centre of the story is the bond between four friends, who come together to form the “Night Vigilantes,” a clandestine movement rooted in the community. Operating in secrecy, the group seeks to reclaim power for those who have been marginalised. However, as their resistance grows, the distinction between justice and violence becomes increasingly blurred, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

The series is produced by Ukbar Filmes and RB Filmes, and is created by Augusto Fraga, who has also co-written the show alongside Hugo Gonçalves and Tiago R. Santos.

The third season is directed by Augusto Fraga and Patrícia Sequeira, and is positioned as a grand finale to the story.
