Delhi witnessed an electrifying start to the India leg of the NDTV Good Times My Story World Tour, as rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh delivered a high-energy, emotionally layered performance before a packed arena.

Positioned as more than just a live concert, the show unfolded as a narrative-driven experience, tracing Honey Singh’s personal and professional journey through four distinct chapters — The Rise, The Fame, The Darkness, and The Comeback.

As the lights came on and the music filled the venue, it became evident that the evening was designed as a cinematic retelling of the artist’s life, combining live performance with large-scale audio-visual storytelling. Giant screens projected curated sequences that guided the audience through defining phases of Honey Singh’s career, while the music played out live.

The opening segment, The Rise, revisited the early days of Honey Singh’s breakthrough into the music scene. Tracks such as Dope Shop set the tone, capturing the raw energy that marked his entry into mainstream music and his role in shaping contemporary Indian pop culture.

The concert then transitioned into The Fame, celebrating the phase that turned Honey Singh into a cultural icon. Performances of Brown Rang and Blue Eyes triggered waves of nostalgia among fans, while Bollywood hits like Blue Hai Pani Pani and 4 Bottle Vodka highlighted his widespread influence on the country’s party and music scene.

A shift in tone marked The Darkness, the most introspective segment of the evening. In a rare moment of vulnerability, Honey Singh spoke candidly about a difficult phase in his life. With subdued lighting and minimal spectacle, the segment moved away from high-energy performance to a deeply personal reflection, presenting the artist beyond his public persona.

The final act, The Comeback, brought the narrative full circle. Performing recent tracks such as Millionaire, Honey Singh returned to a high-energy stage presence, underscored by a sense of resilience and renewal. Addressing the audience, he said, ‘This time it is personal,’ a statement that resonated strongly with fans who have followed his journey over the years.

The concert was also marked by its ambitious production design, blending cinematic storytelling with live music, immersive stagecraft, aerial dance performances, and even on-stage video production. In a first for such events, a live music video was recorded during the performance, which is expected to be released soon.

Audience engagement formed a key part of the experience. Winners of the Love Dose contest were invited on stage to interact with the artist, while one attendee won a brand-new bike. In another highlight, Honey Singh celebrated his birthday on stage in his hometown, cutting a specially designed cake as the crowd cheered.

For many in attendance, the event moved seamlessly between spectacle and personal storytelling, offering a concert experience that was both grand and intimate.

Reflecting on the concept behind the tour, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said, ‘With My Story, NDTV Good Times has reimagined what a live concert can be. This is not just about music – it is storytelling on a grand scale, where an artist invites audiences into the most personal chapters of his journey. We will bring more such extraordinary experiences to fans across the country.’

Rahul Shaw, Chief Experiences Officer at NDTV, added, ‘My Story has been designed as a fully immersive experience – where music, cinema and emotion come together in one powerful narrative. The Delhi show was an incredible beginning to the India chapter of the tour, and every city will experience its own unforgettable moments as this journey continues.’

As the NDTV Good Times My Story World Tour moves to other cities across India, the Delhi opening has set the tone for what promises to be a series of large-scale, immersive live music experiences.
