Margot Robbie has plans to act as executive producer and star in Fools Day.
The inspiration comes from a short in 2013 by Cody Blue Snider and alongside her team at LuckyChap Entertainment, Margot wants to adapt it into a feature length film. It surrounds the story of a group of students who accidentally kill their teacher during the middle of an April Fools’ Day prank.
Margot will supposedly be playing the teacher in a smaller role than we have seen her in recently. Edward Norton will also be producing with Margot while Snider will be writing the longer screenplay with his brother and Keatyn Lee. He said of the project on Instagram, “I couldn’t be more excited to be making my passion project with everyone at @newlinecinema… I’ve been working tirelessly on this project for nine years and I’d like to take a moment to thank my team, everyone who worked on the short film, those who donated to the Kickstarter campaign and anyone who has supported me throughout my career. You know who you are, and I love you with all my heart.”
Margot’s career has changed drastically since her Neighbours day and she now has many plates to spin – in coming years, she will be reprising her role of Harley Quinn and she will also be taking on the role of Barbie in a live-action film.
