A new trailer for Netflix’s The Crown has now been released – and we can see Olivia Colman take the regal baton from Claire Foy undertaking the role of the Queen for the first time. The third series shows a new guard taking control of Downing Street, following the turmoils of the Royal family’s lives as Britain changes daily. The series will focus on the country’s history during the 60s and the 70s, showing that the Royals need to change if they can survive in the new world. Other stars joining the cast will be Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten. The Crown will be returning to Netflix on the 17th of November and we will be posting all of our thoughts on the new series!
