Disney have decided to reboot the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise instead of sticking with the same storyline which began to creep down to Davy Jones’ Locker in terms of popularity with fans. Craig Mazin (Chernobyl creator) has decided to take on the project with Ted Elliott in order to bring the franchise back to life.
Ted Elliot was involved in writing four of the films but will work alongside Mazin in order to give the franchise a fresh start.
Previous writers who have taken on the project are Deadpool’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick but they decided to abandon ship earlier on this year.
